MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION
We are North Idaho's premiere spine surgery and interventional pain management practice. We are committed to offering a caring and comprehensive approach to spine care, and we're in need of a Medical Billing Specialist. At Axis Spine Center, we believe in delivering first class patient care, treating every person in our clinic with respect and kindness, and seeking for continuous improvement. In addition to adhering to this vision, the Billing Specialist will do the following:
- Prepare and post charges and submit claims to payers with timeliness and accuracy.
- Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided.
- Enter and deposit patient payments daily.
- Provide support to the Billing Supervisor as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their individual insurance coverage and financial responsibility.
Education: Associate Degree
Experience: Prior experience working in a clinical or hospital setting is required.
